Sweet, But Should Have Been Designed BetterNov 03, 2009
I'm mostly echoing previous reviewers' complaints: it's scratchy, and the inner lining around the neck doesn't stay in-- it pops up and you can see it around the neck. In addition, I now have sequins all over my house because they don't stay on very well. They're apparently glued on with a not-very-strong glue. I'm afraid to wash this, but I need to... so I will attempt to hand wash it very delicately!
I'm lucky that my daughter didn't complain about the scratchiness... she loved it anyway, and it is cute. But if I had it to do over, I'd pick a different Dorothy costume.

The costume was so scratchy that my daughter (age 6) couldn't wear. it, even after I put on an undershirt and petticoat. The inside lining of the neck kept coming to the outside when I tried it on her. I can't return it either (because the seller didn't allow). For me, it was a complete waste of money.

My daughter was thrilled to receive this costume. It looks pretty much like the picture, appears well-made and able to withstand machine washings. However, the sparkles are missing on the upper-half of the skirt. (Something my six year old noticed immediately). Also, although the net-petticoat makes the dress skirt stand out, it's horribly itchy. My daughter screamed the first time she put it on. This problem was remedied by digging out the pantaloons from last year's Heidi costume. I think most little girls will really enjoy it.

Beautiful costume, but I give 3 stars. I ordered a small as online said small=size 4-6. I thought it meant it was for age 4-6. Package comes and says it is for ages 3-4. I don't have the time right now to return and receive the medium by Halloween so we will keep the small size and have my daughter wear blue shorts underneath in case its too short. Right now it comes to just above her knees.
